Last Saturday, we got caught in heavy rain,
The streets got flooded in Port of Spain.
We filled our backpacks with veggies and fruit,
Our shoes got wet and so did our loot.
We waited an hour for the rain to subside,
And a record time of 3 & 1/2 hours for our bus ride!
We got home late, way past dinner time,
We survived! and we hope you enjoyed this little rhyme! :)
